Ann and Andreas’ spring wedding was such a pleasure to capture – a day filled with tradition, love, and the coming together of two wonderful families.
The day began at Andreas’ parents’ home in North Kent with the Stolisma – a traditional ritual where the Koumbaro (best man) shaves the groom, followed by the Zosimon and Kapnisman ceremonies. It was a touching start to the day, surrounded by close family and friends.
From there, everyone made their way to the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Constantine and Helen in South London. This church is truly breathtaking and made for an incredible setting for their heartfelt ceremony.
The celebration continued at Westerham Golf Club, where guests from both Andreas’ Greek Cypriot and Ann’s Malaysian backgrounds came together in the most joyful way. There was such a warm and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
After the wedding breakfast and some lovely speeches, we stepped outside just in time for golden hour. The soft evening light made for some relaxed and natural portraits of the couple, which turned out to be some of my favorites from the day.

During the speeches, a delightful surprise emerged as Bernadeta and Tomas announced they were expecting their first child, much to the astonishment of family and friends—only the Maid of Honour and Best Man were in on the secret. To add to the excitement, they planned a gender reveal just before their first dance.
Before the celebration kicked off, I whisked the couple away for some relaxed golden hour photos. Upon returning to their guests, they discovered that they would be having a little girl. Following this joyous news, the party began in earnest, briefly interrupted for a fun sparklers display.

This day was full of laughter and fun and following the wedding breakfast, these guys had an epic line-up of speeches. Particular note should be given to the bridesmaids (who, like the bride, are nurses), with lock-down inspired pan banging and wrapping Ant up in bandages (as he is constantly breaking different bones, most recently during a dance off on his stag do!).
Following the speeches, we sneaked off some relaxed couple photos near the meadows, which was followed by an awesome first dance. After this, the party really got going!
“What a photographer!!!
We had Matt capture our wedding, he is faultless! Very welcoming and easy to get along with. He goes the extra mile to ensure that you will get the best photos possible, showed up to our venue early, just to scope the area for the best possible locations for photos, which made the whole experience run smoothly.
Matt will disappear into the background, making you forget that you even have a photographer there, from doing this he captures incredible photos that you don’t even realise are being taken.
I would highly recommend Matt to anyone that is looking for a photographer for their wedding!”
