Westerham Golf Club Wedding - Ellie and Ethan

Ellie and Ethan tied the knot in early spring 2026 at the ever-beautiful Westerham Golf Club—one of my favourite venues.

Ellie and Ethan tied the knot in early spring 2026 at the ever-beautiful Westerham Golf Club—one of my favourite venues.

Their day was centred around an intimate ceremony, shared with close family and friends, which gave everything a relaxed and personal feel. After lots of confetti and a handful of group photos, everyone settled in for a series of heartfelt (and entertaining) speeches.

Once the wedding breakfast wrapped up, we made the most of the grounds—jumping on golf buggies to visit a few of my favourite photo spots. Although the skies stayed overcast for much of the day, we were lucky enough to catch a stunning golden hour, giving us the perfect light for some natural and relaxed portraits.

By the time we returned, the band was set and ready to go, and the evening celebrations kicked off in style.

Here’s a selection of some favourite moments from their day.

Port Lympne Safari Park Wedding Photography

Alex and Luke celebrated their September wedding at the incredible Port Lympne Safari Park in Kent – a truly unforgettable setting.

Alex and Luke celebrated their September wedding at the incredible Port Lympne Safari Park in Kent – a truly unforgettable setting.

The day couldn’t have started better, with perfect weather complementing the stunning surroundings. Groom prep took place at Bear Lodge, while bridal prep unfolded in the elegant Spencer Roberts Room inside the main mansion.

These two chose a celebrant-led ceremony, making their vows beautifully personal and intimate. After confetti and a handful of group photos, we explored the Moroccan Courtyard and the grounds of the mansion for some relaxed portraits.

Following the wedding breakfast and heartfelt speeches at the Orangery, guests enjoyed a safari tour through the park – spotting wildlife from across the globe as the sun began to set.

As the evening drew in, everyone returned to the Orangery where the celebrations kicked off in style. Alex and Luke surprised their guests with a quick outfit change before making a spectacular re-entrance to start an unforgettable party.

Ann and Andreas' Greek Cypriot Wedding at Westerham Golf Club

Ann and Andreas’ spring Greek Cypriot wedding was such a pleasure to capture – a day filled with tradition, love, and the coming together of two wonderful families.

Ann and Andreas’ spring wedding was such a pleasure to capture – a day filled with tradition, love, and the coming together of two wonderful families.

The day began at Andreas’ parents’ home in North Kent with the Stolisma – a traditional ritual where the Koumbaro (best man) shaves the groom, followed by the Zosimon and Kapnisman ceremonies. It was a touching start to the day, surrounded by close family and friends.

From there, everyone made their way to the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Constantine and Helen in South London. This church is truly breathtaking and made for an incredible setting for their heartfelt ceremony.

The celebration continued at Westerham Golf Club, where guests from both Andreas’ Greek Cypriot and Ann’s Malaysian backgrounds came together in the most joyful way. There was such a warm and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

After the wedding breakfast and some lovely speeches, we stepped outside just in time for golden hour. The soft evening light made for some relaxed and natural portraits of the couple, which turned out to be some of my favorites from the day.

The evening wrapped up with energetic Greek dancing – a lively way to end an unforgettable celebration.

Emily and Luey's Wedding at Deal Town Hall

In early December, Emily and Luey held their intimate wedding at Deal Town Hall.

In early December, Emily and Luey held their intimate wedding at Deal Town Hall.

It was a stunning December day, with Emily and her bridal party getting ready at her nan’s farm in nearby Kingsdown.

It was an emotional service at the festivally decorated Deal Town Hall, followed by these guys braving the near-artic temperatures for some relaxed shots at the beach as the sun started to set.

A relaxed reception was held at the farm, with plenty of emotion being delivered during the speeches.

Coverage wrapped up with a sparkler exit (which is always great to do in the winter months) and some nighttime portraits.

After the formalities, we captured a few group shots outside the location, which was followed by a relaxed walk along Deal seafront. The weather was perfect, with the odd cloud present, to create the perfect lighting for some creative and relaxed portraits along the seafront.

Lydia and Daisy's Marquee Wedding in Canterbury

The property has been used as a wedding venue for generations in the family, just adding to the emotions of this fantastic day (there were a lot of tears!).

Following the service, these guys held their reception in the gardens, with Italian streetfood being served to the guests. When it comes to these speeches, despite photographing a large number of weddings, I have never seen so much emotion! The tears, the belly laughs (particularly thanks to Daisy’s brother’s epic speech) and more tears!.

As the sun started to set, we explored the wider grounds, including a local orchard and cornfield, to capture some golden hour portraits.

Matt is amazing!

My wife and I booked Matt to be the photographer for our wedding and we’re so glad that we did! Matt was absolutely amazing. He was so professional, polite and easy to work with. He went the extra mile to make sure we got the perfect pictures and we absolutely did. He captured the vibe and energy of the wedding perfectly. We didn’t want many formal photos and wanted the majority of the photos to be candid. He did this to an absolute T! Matt didn’t pressure us to pose or be anyway. The photos we have are so natural and exactly what we wanted.

Thank you so much for capturing our day Matt and we would recommend you to anyone!

Claire and Adam held their special day with their closest friends and family at the Secret Gardens, situated just on the outskirts of Ashford.

Following bridal prep at the stunning Five Bells Inn, these guys held a small service in the tranquil and colourful gardens of the venue.

The weather was perfect for this and shortly afterwards, everyone was seated in the Glass House (my personal favourite spot at this venue) for an afternoon tea.

As the sunset, everyone enjoyed these idealic gardens, whilst I managed to grab the couple for a short, yet relaxed, newly wed session.

Matt’s photos from both our engagement shoot and our wedding look fantastic! We were both nervous about having our photo taken and Matt really helped us to relax and have fun. Everyone commented on the day how lovely he was and it was a source of much fun trying to spot which bush or chair he was hiding behind to make sure he captured everything as candidly as possible! The whole day went by in such a blur so it’s amazing to have so many gorgeous photos of all the special moments to look back on. Thank you Matt, we would recommend you to anyone!

It truly was an intimate and emotional service and shortly afterwards, we had a wonder around the historic city of Canterbury, capturing some relaxed and natural photos.

Throughout the day, the forecast was warning of heavy rain storms, but despite the grey clouds overhead, it remained dry long enough for a quick trip down to Deal beach for a walk along the seafront.

I always say it, but I absolutely love capturing smaller weddings; during these intimate occassions, I really do feel privlidged to capture every moment between two people madly in love.

I had an amazing time capturing Laura and John’s micro wedding in early March. Surrounded by their closest family members, it was intimate, relaxed and full of love.

I had an amazing time capturing Laura and John’s micro wedding in early March. Surrounded by their closest family members, it was intimate, relaxed and full of love.

These guys held their service at Aberdeen House in mid afternoon, and following the service we walked into the perfect golden hour (you wouldn’t have known this was only a few weeks after Storm Eunice teared through Kent).

These guys held a small reception at the Bell Hotel, situated along the the River Stour in the quaint town of Sandwich. With the sunsetting against this backdrop, we took a relaxed walk along the river to capture some portraits.

Matt was fantastic from start to finish, excellent communication with us prior to the wedding, and the photos are brilliant, we’re so happy we chose him to capture our big day! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him, thanks Matt!

Stephanie and Rosie's Twilight Wedding at the Orchard Suite

As I started thinking about this blog post, I was trying to find a word which sums up Rosie and Stephanie’s wedding at the Orchard Suite. Despite my overreliance on a thesaurus, I think the best description was ‘fun’. To clarify, from the moment I met these guys right through to their first dance, they didn’t stop laughing and smiling! This set the tone for a wedding full of belly laughs, beaming smiles and some crazy dance moves, and I absolutely loved the fact they just wanted relaxed and natural shots capturing this!

“Matt was absolutely fantastic! He made us feel as if he wasn’t there and completely captured our whole day! He was so professional and great at direction. He really made us feel at ease. I would highly recommend Matt…he certainly didn’t disappoint. The pictures are amazing and all our friends and family adore them! I cant recommend him enough. Harriet and James’ Wedding

This was without question one of the most relaxed, chilled and laid-back weddings I have had the pleasure of capturing.

This was without question one of the most relaxed, chilled and laid-back weddings I have had the pleasure of capturing. When I caught-up with Harriet and James a few weeks before their big day, they said that they just wanted me to capture the moments as they happened (no awkward posing with people being forced to say cheese). The weather was absolutely perfect for this winter wedding and the Secret Garden’s rustic and vintage vibe matched perfectly with everything, from the bridesmaids dresses to the flowers.

These guys held their service at the stunning chapel and the weather was perfect for wintery walk with the newly weds around the gardens. The top off the perfect day, there was a sparkler exit followed by some smashing dance moves to 80s pop!

“Thank you so much, we love them! You have really captured the happiness of the day”

Clark and Jodie’s ‘Day of the Dead’ themed weddings

Clark and Jodie’s big day was truly one of a kind, with rain pouring (literally red level weather warning scale), a request for guests to dress as comfortably as they wish and an overarching day of the dead theme. But most importantly, this day truly reflected this awesome couple and was foremost characterised by their love for one another.

But most importantly, this day truly reflected this awesome couple and was foremost characterised by their love for one another.

The service at St. Peter’s Church in Bridge, near Canterbury, was particularly special as it was delivered by Clark’s Step Mum (which happened to be her first wedding) and their reception at Barham Village Hall was so much fun to capture.

Working alongside the talented NNastia Photography, who was my second shooter, we completely forgot about the rain, with so many special moments being captured inside.

We also had the chance to take the couple to a nearby stately home for their indoor newly wed session, which provided plenty of opportunities for relaxed portraits.

The couple also showed their awesomeness by standing out in the cold and rain, allowing for unique night-time portraits!

I can’t recommend Matt enough. We are so so happy with the photos! He’s professional and friendly and is really passionate about getting the best photos he can. Thank you Matt for giving us some precious memories to cherish forever!

What a wedding! When I met Sophie and Joe a few weeks’ before their big day, they told me they had one big requirement; they wanted the coverage to be a relaxed and natural as possible!

The wedding started at St Cosmas & St Damian’s Church in Challock, which is an absolutely stunning Church, followed by the reception at the Crown Lodge in Wye (an equally stunning location).

Despite the heavy wind and rain, we managed to get outside after the meal for some relaxed portraits, shortly followed by Lofty Harris playing into the evening.

Matt was amazing - neither of us felt very comfortable being photographed but Matt instantly put us at ease and I felt like he really understood what we wanted. He captured some amazing photos of our day that will be treasured memories for us forever. Matt was really responsive to messages and got us our final gallery 2 weeks after the wedding, with some sneak peaks after about a week. Thank you so much for your amazing work
