Abbie and Ben’s Autumnal Wedding at Great Bower Barn
Abbie and Ben’s beautiful autumnal wedding took place at the stunning Great Bower Barn, perfectly nestled between Faversham and Canterbury in the heart of Kent.
The day began with Abbie and her bridesmaids getting ready at a lovely nearby Airbnb, which came with a brilliant surprise—a field of curious alpacas right next door. It made for a truly unique backdrop for the morning’s bridal prep photos.
Once everyone was ready, Abbie made her way to a quaint, historic church in Faversham. The ceremony felt incredibly personal and special, officiated by a close family friend who also happens to be the Dean of Jersey. After a beautifully emotional service and lots of confetti, the newlyweds and their guests headed over to Great Bower Barn to start the celebrations.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather; the autumn rain held off just long enough for us to capture some formal group shots while the guests mingled over drinks, garden games, and live acoustic music.
Once inside the barn, guests could see the level of detail Abbie and Ben put into every aspect of their day, which was simply amazing. They went to great lengths to bring their vision to life, styling the tables and the rustic barn space with rich seasonal colours, trailing plants, and thoughtful autumnal touches that completely transformed the venue.
Following the wedding breakfast and a round of fantastic speeches, I whisked this awesome duo away for a short walk around the venue's grounds. The soft autumn light was perfect for capturing some relaxed, highly natural portraits of just the two of them taking it all in.
When we returned, the evening kicked off with incredible energy. The atmosphere was so electric that the live band had everyone up on their feet and dancing before the first dance had even officially begun!
